Stable plastic patterns offer a greater reliability, especially at higher room temperatures. Be careful not to press the preformed wax clasps so firmly that they become flat. 10.2 Preparation of the Model (Block out)

![]() 136 (Dental Dentures: Preparation of the Model) After the master model has been surveyed and the specified framework design drawn on it, add block-out wax. Be sure to add sufficient block-out wax in undercut areas adjacent to the saddle(s). Scrape the wax bordering the saddle(s) using a block-out knife whose blade is angled at 2°. A carefully blocked-out master model makes it possible to attain a chrome-cobalt denture which effortlessly fits the model. For both upper and lower arches, place 0.7 mm thick saddle relief wax on the saddle areas (Fig. 136 + 137). (more…) |
